Below you can find the previous interest rates on all our accounts and when they were available.
Annual or monthly interest can be chosen at account opening. Once chosen it cannot be altered at a later date.
AER and EAR explained
AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and shows what the interest rate would be if we paid interest and added it to your account each year.
EAR stands for Effective Annual Rate and represents the yearly cost of an overdraft, which takes account of how often we charge interest to the account, and does not include any other fees or charges. Overdrafts depend on your circumstances and you must repay any overdraft when we ask in line with our general terms and conditions.
Gross rate explained
The gross rate is the interest rate that we pay where no income tax has been deducted.

cahoot flexible loan (no longer on sale)
A flexible way to take out and manage a loan. The cahoot flexible loan allowed you to make withdrawals as and when you wanted, and to make monthly or more frequent repayments allowing you to pay off the full loan whenever you wanted.

If you preferred to plan your borrowing, choosing a fixed rate loan once you'd decided the term and amount of your loan, meant you knew exactly what your repayments were and when your loan would be paid off.
