Logging on to Online Banking for the first time
So, you’re looking to log on to Online Banking for the first time? Before completing your first-time log on, you’ll need your:
- Personal ID
- Temporary 5-digit Security Number
- Temporary Password.
If you’ve recently opened a new account or requested new Online Banking credentials, we’ll send you two letters containing your log on details. You must wait to receive both letters before attempting to log on. Attempting to log on before receiving both of your letters will result in your temporary details being cancelled. You’ll then have to wait a further 5-7 working days to receive new letters after contacting us.
Letter 1 of 2 contains:
- Your Personal ID - This is a 10-digit number unique to you. When logging on you’ll enter this into the ‘User name’ field.
- Temporary Password - This is an 8-character password that you’ll be asked to change to something more memorable after you've successfully logged on for the first time.
Letter 2 of 2 contains:
- Your temporary 5-digit Security Number - This is the number that you’ll enter in the ‘Security Number’ field. After logging on for the first time, you’ll be asked to change this to something more memorable.
